AASW Practice Standards
The Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Practice Standards have been developed to outline the practice expectations required of all social workers. They are intended to guide practice to ensure social workers fulfil the practice requirements as set out by the AASW. The Practice Standards also inform the Australian Social Work Education and Accreditation Standards (ASWEAS) which regulate and guide curriculum development for social work programs in Australia.

AASW Code of Ethics
The AASW Code of Ethics informs and guides the ethical practice of social workers. The Code of Ethics provides the foundation for the Practice Standards and, when reading the practice standards, it should be done so in conjunction with the Code of Ethics.
