Working in Complex Settings

This article, by Jackie King-Owen and Claire Ambrose, explores issues relating to student placements within ‘challenging settings’. These settings require a more detailed consideration in terms of the role, function and purpose of the placement than other settings but can be profoundly rewarding in terms of personal and career development. With proper preparation and support they can develop team skills, confidence, empathy and resilience.
