As part of your course, you are likely to be asked to submit written work which requires you to reflect on the work you have been doing on placement. This reflection can help you gather evidence which highlights the knowledge and skills you have learnt.

The following activity prompts you to begin reflecting on your practice with service users.

Reflective Questions

  1. Reflecting on the activity, what skills and knowledge do you think you need to develop?
  2. How can your practice educator help you develop your reflective practice? Discuss this with your practice educator during your next supervision session.
  3. How might you seek feedback on your practice from service users and carers?
  4. How might the way you reflect and gather evidence on practice differ between different settings?
